a.m. commute

So, I got into work from Cambridge in about 0:11:38. Usually it take me about 15-20 minutes. I even stopped at the atm to grab some cash in Kendall Sq. 15 min if I crank, 20 if I take my time. This morning was somehow different. I knew I was going at a pretty fast clip, but there must be something wrong with my cyclocomputer. My max speed was at 40.5 mph. On a single speed? That can't possibly be right, but I'm not going to fight it. The last time I looked down and noticed my speed, I was a almost halfway over the Mass Ave Bridge coming into Boston, and it read at just over 30 mph. I did blow by some early comuters.

Tonight I am going to skip spinning class to get the bike back in fat tire rideable order. check drivetrain, adjust the front derailleur as it was giving me major problems during the race, switch out tires, go back to the Kenda Nevegal 2.35s I have to wait to build the front wheel. Since I have a lefty, I have to get a Dummy axl.

It enables the lefty hub to be mounted in a truing stand. Then there's the spokes, which was supposed to come in Monday, it is now Tuesday.
