back from hiatus

After over two months of down time, I've decided to get back into this blogging thing for now. The down time occured partly due to my surrender of time on the bike because of the cool weather and pure laziness. Though this really shouldn't be an excuse because I have been on the saddle a few times due to the unusually warm weather. Unusually warm. Something like in the upper 60s at the end of November. So I did some riding in a packed fells a couple times. It seems that during the months of hiberation when the mercury rises, hikers and bikers flood the Middlesex Fells all at once. So much so that there is barely any parking available along South Border road.

This past Saturday morning, I did get a good 2+ hour ride in at Harold Parker State Forest. It was a mellow kind of ride, my kind of ride since I've only been on the bike spinniing the chain three or four times since early October. I did get a good launch off a rock and was probably about 3 or 4 feet off the ground. The highlight of the ride. One other highlight occured off the bike, when I walked over a bridge and watched a rapid moving stream. It was a the kind of sound you here when water trickles over rocks and being forced to take immediate turns as it makes it way.

Saturday afternoon was spent running around shooting for the MFA's Paris Fashion. I went to the Fairmont and Millenium hotels and shot the displays enclosed in window boxes.

Nice to see the Patriots pulled it off, just barely over the Lyons. That was a terrible game but a win is a win. However, I only intermitantly watched as most of my time was spent processing files from Aidan's shoot. I was happy to do the shots for the Chapron clan who wanted them for their Xmas cards. The shoot went well as Aidan seemed to have like the camera this time around. With three assistants, what couldn't we accomplish. Photographing a 7 month seemed like it was easy. Michelle handled the color checker, Chris took turns with Michelle holding up the lighting as I had no light stands and Kristen got Aidan to smile and kept him from falling over. There were some good shots and ultimately the clan picked two shots for their cards.

Next up the Paris shots. I cringe at the fact that I have to edit through roughly 1500 shots of Paris.
