Brrrrrrrr. my toes are frozen

Since I was tired of being a human sail by over layering and still freezing my toes off during my commutes to and from work, I decided for a much needed trip to
Belmont Wheelworks for some cold weather gear. Perl Izumi Amfib Inferno gloves. Check. Bellweather thermal jersey. check. Bellweather windjammmer insulated pants. check. cannondale therma lined wind and water proof max booties, check.

A test ride was in order. I actually had to take off a layer for my upper body. and for the rest of the ride the Bellweather jersey seemed to have regulated my core body temp quite well as I was not overheating and not too cold. The windjammers pants also did the trick, with the added layer of tights on underneath, my legs were pretty toasty. the articulated knees on the pants designed specifically for biking worked wonders and my legs were no longer restricted to movements, important when on a bike. The gloves earned the right to be called inferno. My hands were hot. and felt like they were at times on fire. The booties, that's a different story. My toes got very cold towards the end of my one hour ride. I will need to figure out something I can do to help these extremities. Maybe my old prompt do fleece bootie sock under the cannondale max bootie.

IceBike
…and for those who ride in -5˚F, sleet and snow
