Stupid Drivetrain

After the ride at Mount Agemeticus, my cables are stretched and Derailleur ghost shifts. Not to mention my brakes are still a sponge.

The Knees thrusting into my headset and stem from derailleur problems does not exactly feel all that good. I started to wear knee pads to alleviate some knee trauma. Due to my own errror of misplacing the keys to maxima, Ron and I arrived late onto South Border Road. The congested parking lot on I-93 didn't help our cause.

Ron had been off the saddle for quite some time, about 6-8 weeks. I decided to punish him for his hiatus and push him through some of the most rocky technical terrain to start off. Though I could not see his multiple falls as I was usually far ahead stopped and waiting at the next train merge, I could however hears his pains and curses. Later I decided to start his first climb at the fire road to Wrights Tower. I was climbing at a pretty good clip and reached the top in no time. Half way up my ascent I looked back and saw that ron was nowhere in site. I knew I would be waiting for him at the top.

Ron finally reached the top and began once again cursing me oout. 'Hey I haven't been on a mountain bike in a while, take it easy on me.'
All the more reason to make him suffer. But I gave in and took him over relatively easier trails for the remainder of the ride. Since we started pretty late and both our drivetrains were giving us problems we only covered the east side of the fells and rode for about an hour.
