waiting for new rims is like xmas
The weather looks like it is going to be mid 90s hot. And for tomorrow Boston could reach into the 100s. My energy bill is putting a big dent into the already drying up wallet.
Riding in this weather isn't going to be fun, but I don't need to worry about that since my wheels have been disassembled. the only thing that remains are the hubs. I am awaiting my new rims to come in the mail. Mavic XM321. they are wider than the average rim, so I think they will be good. I order a truing stand. building my wheels should be interesting. I hear its an art form.
Not too scared to do it though. Might take awhile but I'll get it done in time for the race on Sunday. Ha. race. it'll all be a blur, I'm sure. Lets just hope nothing breaks, can't afford anything else. I decided over the Mavic XM819 rims because 1: the 321 are cheaper, about half the price per rim. 2: i think the 321 will stand up to more abuse.
though the 819 rims did look good. ust for tubeless or running with tubes for about $80 a rim.
